making people smile one photograph at a time
I know I’m pretty young and have never been in a relationship, never been on a date or even kissed a boy so I guess you could say I don’t know much about “love”. But when I saw Samantha come to Billy’s baseball games just about every night, and when Billy wore his wedding ring months before their wedding day I knew this couple was truly in love. The way they talked about each other was amazing, and I have never seen a groom so, so, happy to marry the girl walking down the isle.
Billy & Samantha, I thank you yet again for letting me shoot your engagement photos and attend(as well as shoot a little) of your big day! You are an amazing couple and I know your future will be blessed & bright! Much love, A.
We first started with a picnic setting among the field of wildflowers. They brought some old books to *read* and with the basket Samantha customized added the perfect personalized touch.
I still can’t get over her blue eyes! So gorgeous.
I always have a hard time posing a “hand ring shot” but Samantha & Billy naturally created this pose. What a couple!
So Billy bumped her a bit to hard…but they worked it all out.
Pretty much my favorite shot from the entire session.
And we finished the session with a little romance behind an umbrella Samantha will be using in her wedding!
About a month later Samantha & Billy came back to Michigan from California for their big day.
When I first got there they were just starting to get ready, and not to many photo-moments. So I snuck away and snapped some shots of the reception hall which Samantha & her family so beautifully decorated.
I loved the cake topper and simplicity of the cake…it tasted good too.
Took a little wander around to the ceremony site.
I’m pretty much in love with these umbrellas.
The beautiful bride getting ready!
While Samantha was getting ready, Billy had some guy-time while having a cigar.
The Hitching Post(http://www.hitchingpostevents.com/) was a wonderful venue for a country/rustic chic themed wedding.
While the bride & groom were getting ready(okay, Samantha was getting ready and we made Billy hide in the groom’s room), guests arrived and chatted before the ceremony.
…And petted a pig too. Talk about country!
Samantha wrapped her grandmother’s necklace around her bouquet.
Billy finally gets to see his bride walk down the isle.
It was very, VERY small wedding…but that made it very close and personal – which I thought was lovely.
After the ceremony while group shots were being taken, guests were able to go on a tractor ride!
We may not be the south, but we can have a few cowboys around here!
A dance with Samantha was being auctioned off!
A nice kiss after Billy smashed cake in his bride’s face
Billy showing off his dance moves!
And to finish it off with a lovely shot of the beautiful couple!
I decided I should start my blog back up. We’ll see how it goes, and if I can keep up with it. haha. Changes may be made to the lay-out in the near future. I guess we’ll see!
So welcome, and I hope you enjoy the photos to follow.
